about

Callie Weaks is a photographer with nearly 20 years of experience behind the camera and in front of the lens. Her diverse portfolio ranges from weddings and portraits to artistic, conceptual pieces that highlight the female form. Focused on social issues such as gender equality, non-binary advocacy, body positivity, harassment, and consent, Callie strives to give her audience a glimpse into the what it is to be a woman, objectified or idealized, for better or for worse.

She started out using film and learned the manual camera before shifting to digital. She strictly shoots manual with a Canon Mark II 5d and primarily a 50 mm lens.

Using natural light, color gels, found objects, and natural materials she achieves a particular color or aesthetic for outdoor photography and hardly ever shoots in a studio.
